A grassroots movement devoted to civil rights protection for all immigrants.

On March 17, 2017, just one day after the Irish Prime Minister (Taoiseach) presented Donald Trump with a bowl of shamrocks in the White House, over 1,000 people joined with Irish and US activists and artists in the Riverside Church in Manhattan for a major rally and concert.

Irish Stand, a ‘global call for justice and equality’, took place in the iconic venue steeped in a rich social justice legacy to send a message of unity at a time of much fear and division in the world.

Inspired by the Irish experience of oppression and forced emigration, the movement will continue to stand with vulnerable communities returning to New York for St. Patrick’s Day 2018 and holding a similar event in Liberty Hall, Dublin, Ireland, in November 2017.
